New Linkspan for Berth 4

Towage of a 70m linkspan* from Holland to the Port of Felixstowe.

The new linkspan will allow the port to accommodate larger Ro/Ro vessels and improve the efficiency of vessel operations.

*A linkspan or link-span is a type of drawbridge used mainly in the operation of moving vehicles on and off a RO-RO vessel or ferry, particularly to allow for tidal changes in water level. Linkspans are usually found at ferry terminals where a vessel uses a combination of ramps either at the stern, bow or side to load or unload cars, vans, trucks and buses onto the shore, or alternately at the stern and/or the bow to load or unload railroad cars.

Exciting Addition: MST Workboats Acquires 2007 DAMEN 1204 Pushy Cat

We are pleased to announce the successful sale of a 2007 DAMEN-built 1204 Pushy Cat to MST Workboats in the UK. The vessel, previously supporting the Royal Navy under a UK Ministry of Defence service contract, will undergo dry docking, classification renewal, and a repaint in MST Workboats’ colors. This marks their third Damen-built vessel and sixth Dutch-built addition, further enhancing their fleet of barges, pontoons, and UK-built workboats.
