Been a long time since I've been in Antwerp. Used to go there twice a month back starting in early sixties to early seventies. Loved to barhop for those great beers. Remember staggering into one pub and finding all women. Weren't we naive. The bathroom in pubs was for both sexes and you could be standing at the urinal and a woman would come in and use the john. I recall the outside public urinals where everything but your midsection was exposed to view. Coming and going down the river was a problem. The locals waited for an american ship to pass and claimed damage to their docks etc from the wake. Even after all we did for them in both wars they still hated the rich americans.
