Belgium's DEME signs over 220 mln euros new orders [source: Reuters]: Belgian dredging company DEME said it had signed new orders for a total of more than 220 million euros ($279 million) in the past few weeks and said it expected a 15 percent rise in turnover at the end of 2008.The orders are for Latin America, Taiwan and the Philippines and Europe, the group said.

Cammell Laird back on Merseyside [source: BBC News]: The Cammell Laird Shipyard, which closed its gates in 2001, is to begin trading on Merseyside once again. The ship repair and conversion company left the Birkenhead site seven years ago after going into receivership. A group of Cammell Laird's former management team built up a new company at the shipyard - and have now revived the Cammell Laird name. Managing director John Syvret said it had a full order book and forecast a turnover of more than £90m.
