Damaged coal carrier Shen Neng 1 left Queensland waters today at the beginning of a five-week tow to China. Deepsea salvage tug De Da arrived from Singapore yesterday and after completion of necessary preparations began the slow voyage around 0920 this morning.

Ship captain detained due to dredging
he Region 7 office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has ordered the arrest of ship captain Ramon Trazo of MV Hamako 2 last Saturday for failing to comply with a cease and desist (CDO) order in connection with a dredging activity it has conducted in the port area of the municipality of Sta. Big passenger ship sinks in Peru
