Belgian dredging company DEME has added orders totalling 655 million euros ($913.3 million) in the year to date, keeping its total order book at around the same level as at the end of 2008.
The company, owned jointly by Belgian holding company Ackermans & van Haaren and builder CFE, said in a statement late on Wednesday that the orders were spread across all continents.
Its order book, which amounted to 2.2 billion euros at the end of 2008, remained at the same level despite having written off the Port Rashid project in Dubai.
CFE is 47 percent owned by France's Vinci.
