Euronav concludes sale of VLCC ‘Savoie’
May 9th, 2007Close to home (in fact they’re just down the road) Euronav NV announced the sale of their double-hull VLCC Savoie (1993âEUR”306,430 dwt), the oldest Very Large Crude Carrier in the Euronav fleet, for USD 82.2 million (gaining a whopping profit of USD 44.4 million). Reportedly she has been sold to a Danish company. This sale is part of the ongoing fleet renewal program of Euronav and the strategy to maintain a young fleet.

We are bsed in Auckland New Zealand and main business lines are commodity broking and consultancy for oil refinery, we have been done refinery contract successfully recently with South Americna /turkish seller through Swiss UBS.
We have an firn inquiry for VLCC, please read below buyer’s message and the buyer have 20 carriers already.
Actually we are interested for VLCC between 250,000 DWT and 270,000
DWT below 10 years old which is more suitable for the oil blending
purposes(because we already have one 250,000 DWT vessel ready), but we
will consider your offer if the price can be nego below usd 140 mil
due to the offer i get from the US owner hope you can understand that
.If you have any VLCC 250k - 270k DWT, please do send me the spec and
indicative price . I will discuss with my boss whether vessel build in
year 1993 can be consider or not and will get back to you ASAP.
